How to Play

What is the Uniswap Cup Prediction Game?

The Uniswap Cup Prediction Game is an on-chain experience that lets you support your favorite team for the Uniswap Cup in Buenos Aires on November 16 during Devconnect. Each team is represented by a token, and players can buy tokens for the team they believe will win to earn a share of the prize pool if their prediction is correct.

How does the game work?

Players pick a team and buy its token using ETH. As more people trade, the total prize pool grows through both liquidity provided and trading fees. When the tournament ends, holders of the winning team's token can claim their share of the prize pool, proportional to how much they held.

How are the winners determined?

Winners are determined by the actual results of the Uniswap Cup tournament. When the final whistle blows, the real-world match outcome decides which team's token is eligible to claim the prize pool.

How do I play?

Connect your wallet on Unichain, browse the teams on the home page, choose how much ETH you want to contribute to your pick, and confirm the swap. Token prices adjust dynamically as players trade, and tokens remain tradable until the start of the tournament. If you change your mind before kickoff, you can easily sell your tokens back.

How do I connect my wallet to Unichain?

You can connect to Unichain by following the official instructions provided in the Unichain wallet setup guide.

If you have trouble with the RPC provider listed there, we recommend using https://unichain-rpc.publicnode.com/. You can also watch this brief video tutorial explaining how to add Unichain to your wallet.

If you prefer, you can also use the Uniswap Wallet, which already supports Unichain and connects automatically.

Can I buy tokens for multiple teams?

Yes. You can spread your picks across multiple teams if you want to hedge your chances. Doing so can increase your odds of winning something, but it may also reduce your potential return from any single team.

What is the prize pool?

The prize pool is made up of the ETH that players contribute when buying team tokens, combined with the trading fees generated from those transactions. The total pool grows continuously and can be tracked in real time on the site.

What network is the game on?

The game runs entirely on Unichain, a high-performance layer 2 built for speed, low fees, and on-chain fun. For accurate setup details, always refer to the official Unichain documentation.
